∆ GEARING UP FOR UNIVERSITY/ COLLEGE ACADEMIC

∆ differences between school and college:
> less time in class
> more time studying outside the class
> more reading
> fewer test
> more group assignment and meeting outside the class
> attendance not be required
> participation affects grades
> you can drop class
> class is bigger
>you're responsible on your learning

∆ CLASS TIME & STUDY TIME

> SCHOOL
* classes meet about an hour a per day for 180 days a year
* in class = 180 hours
> COLLEGE
* classes meet about 3 hours a week for 15 weeks
* in class = 45 hours
> DIFFERENCES
135 hours per class in which you're responsible for your own learning.
