CHAPTER 6: TAKING LECTURER NOTES

Assalamualaikum and hye everyone, I would like to share a lesson that I learn from Madam Normala Ismail. She is an active and motivated person. I am too excited while she began her story, because her story is very inspire us to be a better university student. She teach us how to " TAKING LECTURE NOTES", so it a lot of value tip that we can apply it in our daily life. So, guys lets start our learning!!!

So, how the true ways that we need to apply on our notes, it also relate on before, while, and after we are taking our notes. We need to try hard, eventhough we not a good student.

  • active listening while lecturing.
  • accurate record of information.
  • to  INTERPRET, CONDENSE & ORGANIZE information
  • for repetition of material.

PART 2 : EFFECTIVE NOTE TAKING SYSTEM

In this part we need to know other note taking system that would help and make easy on all our note taking. We can use our own style to take and make our note but this system will help many srudent to produce the best note.

↪ THE CORNELL NOTE TAKING SYSTEM
The Cornell method provides a systematic format for condensing and organizing notes. The student divides the paper into two columns: the note-taking column (usually on the right) is twice the size of the questions/key word column (on the left).

I also try it on my CTU note, but it just a try...

This some note that we need to be pay more attention about taking note:
⃕PREPARE BEFORE TAKING NOTE:
  • get ready
  • sit infront 
  • friends ➢ motivated our friend
  • review ( mostly all the important book) ➝ references book, textbook recommend, manual by lecturer
The mostly important thing that we need to take as the first thing as the student is to be:
➥ ACTIVE LISTENER ;
  1. read before lecture
  2. review last set of notes 
  3. sit in the lecturer's line of vision
  4. decide what to listen 
  5. control emotional responses
  6. listen of the main points
  7. ask and answer question
  8. monitor listening.
As the university student, we need to make any improvement on our taking note to produce the best of notes on our study. I hope this entry will help all of you to find the right way to make the best note. Thank you for your attention.
